vlads.website is an online service and development platform that helps clients plan, build, and maintain custom websites. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when necessary, including:

  • Name, email, and (optional) phone number submitted via forms

  • Information you provide when registering or logging in

  • Comments, inquiries, or quote requests

  • Login/session data when you access your account

  • Payment details (processed securely via Stripe)

We do not currently use third-party tracking (e.g., Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel), but may do so in the future.

Comments

When you leave comments on our site:

  • We collect the data shown in the comment form, your IP address, and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

  • An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile image.

Media Uploads

If you upload images, please avoid including embedded location (EXIF GPS) data. Visitors can download and extract location information from publicly visible images.

Cookies

Cookies help improve your experience:

  • Comment cookies: If you leave a comment, your name/email may be saved for convenience for future comments.

  • Login cookies: Temporary login cookies are set when visiting the login page. If you log in, cookies will store session data and display settings.

  • “Remember Me” cookies last 2 weeks; others are removed when you log out or after 1–2 days.

  • Editor cookies are saved when editing posts and expire after 1 day.

Embedded Content

Some pages may include embedded media (videos, maps, etc.). Embedded content behaves the same as if you visited the original site and may collect data, use cookies, and track interaction — especially if you are logged in to that third-party site.

Who We Share Your Data With

We only share your information when required to deliver services:

  • Stripe for secure payment processing

  • Spam detection when submitting comments or forms

  • Hosting or technical tools used to maintain site performance and backups

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

We do not sell or rent your data.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely for moderation and continuity.

  • For registered users, profile data is stored and editable by the user (excluding username).

  • Admins may also view or edit account details for maintenance and support.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Request access to your stored data

  • Ask for edits or corrections

  • Request deletion of your account and personal data (unless legally required to retain it)

  • Export your data by request

Where Your Data Goes

Visitor comments may be run through automated spam detection software. Otherwise, your data remains securely stored within our platform and tools.

Future Tracking & Analytics

We currently do not use cookies or analytics services. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and notify users where required.
